تهدف هذه المراجعة إلى تقديم تحليل علمي لموضوع التحول نحو التعليم الإلكتروني في ظل الأوضاع المعاصرة، من خلال مناقشة أبرز التحديات والفرص المرتبطة به في مؤسسات التعليم العالي. وتستند المراجعة إلى تحليل مضمون مقال أكاديمي متخصص، مع اعتماد المنهج الوصفي التحليلي في تفسير الأفكار الرئيسة وتقييمها نقدياً. يبرز التعليم الإلكتروني كأحد أهم البدائل الحديثة التي أسهمت في استمرارية العملية التعليمية، خاصة في ظل الأزمات التي حدّت من التعليم الحضوري. كما يوفّر هذا النمط من التعليم مرونة عالية في إدارة الوقت والمكان، ويعزز من فرص التعلم الذاتي واستخدام التقنيات الرقمية المتقدمة. في المقابل، تواجه عملية التحول تحديات متعددة، من أبرزها ضعف البنية التحتية التقنية، ومحدودية المهارات الرقمية لدى بعض أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية والطلبة، فضلاً عن التباين في جاهزية المؤسسات التعليمية. وتؤكد المراجعة أن نجاح التعليم الإلكتروني يتطلب تبني استراتيجيات تعليمية مرنة، وتطوير الموارد التقنية والبشرية، بما يضمن تحسين جودة التعليم وتحقيق استدامته في مواجهة المتغيرات المعاصرة.

Abstract:
This review aims to provide a scientific analysis of the shift toward e-learning in light of contemporary circumstances by discussing the main challenges and opportunities associated with its implementation in higher education institutions. The review is based on a content analysis of a specialized academic article and adopts the descriptive analytical approach to interpret and critically evaluate the key ideas. E-learning has emerged as one of the most important modern alternatives that contributed to the continuity of the educational process, especially during crises that restricted face-to-face education. It also provides high flexibility in managing time and place, while enhancing self-learning opportunities and the use of advanced digital technologies. However, this transition faces several challenges, most notably weak technological infrastructure, limited digital skills among some faculty members and students, and variations in institutional readiness. The review concludes that the success of e-learning requires adopting flexible educational strategies and developing both technical and human resources to ensure the improvement and sustainability of education in response to contemporary changes.
