الملخص
تُعدُّ اللغة العربية إحدى أهم ركائز الهوية الثقافية والحضارية للأمة العربية والإسلامية، إذ ارتبطت بتاريخها الفكري والديني، وكانت عبر العصور لغةً للعلم والأدب والمعرفة. ويتناول هذا المقال واقع اللغة العربية في العصر الحاضر في ظل التحولات الثقافية والتقنية المتسارعة، وما تواجهه من تحديات تتمثل في شيوع استعمال اللغات الأجنبية، ولا سيما بين فئة الشباب، وتأثير وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي في الأنماط اللغوية والسلوكية. كما يسلط الضوء على أثر هذه التحديات في الهوية الثقافية والانتماء اللغوي، ويؤكد أن الانفتاح على اللغات والثقافات الأخرى ينبغي أن يكون انفتاحًا متوازنًا لا يؤدي إلى إضعاف مكانة اللغة العربية أو تهميشها. ويعرض المقال مجموعة من المقترحات العملية التي تسهم في تعزيز حضور اللغة العربية، من خلال دعم دور الأسرة والمؤسسات التعليمية والإعلامية، وتشجيع القراءة، وترسيخ الاعتزاز باللغة بوصفها وعاءً للحضارة ووسيلةً لحفظ التراث الثقافي. ويخلص المقال إلى أن المحافظة على اللغة العربية مسؤولية مجتمعية مشتركة تتطلب تكامل الجهود لضمان استمرارها لغةً حيةً قادرةً على مواكبة التطورات العلمية والثقافية مع الحفاظ على أصالتها وهويتها.

Abstract
The Arabic language is one of the most significant pillars of the cultural and civilizational identity of the Arab and Islamic nations. Throughout history, it has served as the language of religion, science, literature, and knowledge. This article examines the current status of the Arabic language in light of rapid cultural and technological transformations and discusses the major challenges it faces, particularly the widespread use of foreign languages among young people and the influence of social media on linguistic practices and cultural values. The article also highlights the impact of these challenges on cultural identity and linguistic belonging, emphasizing that openness to other languages and cultures should be balanced in a way that preserves the status of Arabic. Furthermore, it presents a set of practical recommendations aimed at strengthening the presence of the Arabic language through the active roles of families, educational institutions, and media, while encouraging reading and promoting pride in Arabic as the language of civilization and cultural heritage. The article concludes that preserving the Arabic language is a shared social responsibility that requires coordinated efforts to ensure its continuity as a vibrant language capable of keeping pace with scientific and cultural developments while maintaining its authenticity and identity.
